Angelo Zamperin died Feb. 11, 2013. He was 78. He was born Feb. 7, 1935 in Castel Franco, Italy to his parents Guiseppe and Emma Zamperin. He was a Camas/Washougal area resident for 28 years and served in the United States Army. He worked for years at the Georgia Pacific Paper Mill in Camas before retiring. He is survived by his wife Waltraud (at home); Daughter, Angela Severns of Camas, WA; son Steven Zamperin of Everett, WA, 4 grandchildren; Brothers Bruno Zamperin of Mt. Shasta, CA, Renoto Zamperin of South San Francisco, CA; and Sister Bruna Sbissacco of Castel Franco, Italy. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 324 N.E. Oak St., in Camas. A military procession with a 21-gun salute will accompany the burial at Sunnyside Cemetery in Washougal. A reception and celebration of life will be held at the church following the burial.
