Lucille Harris went back to her Lord on Tuesday, January 29, 2008. Born on February 3, 1927 in Van Buren, Arkansas, Lucille was 80 years old. A Washougal resident since 1990, Lucille was a Veteran of WWII serving in the US Women's Army Corps. After Pearl Harbor she went to work as a welder and was a onetime reporter. She enjoyed woodcarving, fishing, crocheting, boating, camping, and bowling where she was a two-time league champion. Lucille is survived by her loving husband of 61 years Forrest at home, daughter Joyce Wycoff of Mountain Home, Arkansas, sister Margie Snow of Portland, brother Jack Beatty Jr. of Phoenix, six grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. There will be a Celebration of Life Service with full military honors for Lucille on Monday, February 4th at 11:00 am at Brown's Funeral Home in Camas. Vault interment will follow at the Washougal Memorial Cemetery. Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
