My sincere condolences to Jock's friends and family. I served with him in the USMC. I did an internet search to see what he doing now, and was saddened to find he had passed. He was a good man who will be missed.

Jock, I remember the days outside your front door of Goot Park and Goot Field where many of us from the old neighborhood spent numerous hours playing ball, riding mini bikes, and building forts. I will always remember your sharp wit and sarcasm that would instantly bring a smile to my face. My condolences to Jean and Jeanette.

To the family of Jock,I'm sorry for your loss.I only knew Jock because I work at the mill and so I worked with him just a few years. There are some people that come across your life that you will never forget.About 20 years ago I happened to be working on the same winder machine and Jock was the winderman. as we were preparing to unchuck a large and heavy chuck from the paper rolls, the chuck hit my right ring finger and crushed it.No ones fault but mine!Well the finger healed fairly quick, although the tip of that finger is now kind of flat.and looks funny. It works just fine! Now,every time I look at that finger, that memory of Jock comes back. Some folks really do leave a mark on you! I will Pray that God welcomes Jock into His loving arms.

My condolences to Jock's family. And, I, for one, am thankful for having the opportunity to have had his path cross mine. I will always fondly remember his natural ability to articulate thought and show great intelligence during work, conversation and play. Jock was a part of many tight knit families over the course of his life. One specifically, at work. To this day, his songs of joke and fun are fondly remembered by many. Thanks for the smiles Jock. I'll hold them close to my heart! I also hope to hear more songs when we meet again. :)

I was so sorry to hear of your loss. Though I haven’t seen him in almost 40 years – there are many reasons Jock will always have a place my memories. He definitely had a great sense of humor and quite an imagination! He was the first person to send me flowers and I definitely saw the teddy bear side of him. May peace and comfort find you during this difficult time.

Jock was an usher in our wedding 8/28/88 and I will never forget seeing him standing in his oversized shirt (which came to his knees)as I got out of the limo! He had to wear a neck brace which was very bulky, thus the shirt, and we were worried that he would not be able to be in the wedding, but there he was! You left too soon, Jock; our condolences to your family and many friends, you will be missed.

Jock always wore the "tough guy" image wherever he went. He wanted you to believe that he could handle anything physical and emotional. I learned about a different side of Jock in later years. He became somewhat of a teddy bear type and whenever I saw him he always asked how I was doing and how was my health. Praying for Jock's family and those who were close to him. May God bless them with comfort, strength, courage and peace. Mary

Shocked to hear you leave us Jock. From times at Goot Park through High School and even after you seemed to grab life by the horns and tackle it with gusto. The Marines got a good one with you. From your NAVY "cousin" to one of the Few, the Proud and the Brave, Sempi Fi and Anchors Away Jock. The bicentennial class of Camas HS lost a significant member. God Speed to Jean and the rest of the family.

Jock, you will never be forgotten. Jock was a wonderful friend and leader. I remember the years we spent in school together. The memories of football and wrestling, when he took over as our teams motivator. In football Jock would run up and down the sidelines, slapping and providing encouragement to our team (in every game). I remember the years of fun we had together in the fire dept. at the paper mill. He was always giving of himself and his time, being involved in everything that he could. He was a great leader, as he was always involved in our local union. He held many offices including President of Local 5. He was always standing up for what was right and would fight the fight for us all. His personality was bigger than life! We will all miss Jock.

Jock, ( Moe Motzeter) someone who I truly feel fortunate to have grown up with. Certain people leave a mark on your life and you are one of them, true friend and body guard. The Bronco, the Pinto, blackberry bushes, a shovel, the beach, the woods and everything else between. The good memories live in our hearts. You will be missed but never forgotten. Condolences to all of the family.

He will be truly missed by all who knew him. My prayers are with him and his family. His spirit will live on in all the lives he has touched with his humor, loyalty, and kindness. I'm shocked at Jock's passing. So young!!!....We were run a round buddies when we both got out of the Marines in 1980. Going to Clark College, going to Portland for the evening. Jock was an adventurous person who enjoyed a lot of lifes activities Females, drink, big family gatherings, the outdoors and helping his buddies who needed an "extra hand" around the house.... My condolences and sympathy's to Jean and Jan and the rest of Jock's family. Like Jeff said above "Big HUGS" to you Jean in fond rememberances when visiting You, Archie and Jock.....
