Richard E. Jones passed away on January 28, 2014 at his home in Washougal,WA. He was 75. Richard was born on July 26, 1938 to his parents James and Delores (Schroeder) Jones in Davenport, Iowa. He was a Camas resident since 1981 until recently when his family moved to Washougal,WA. He was a Veteran, serving in the US Army and a member of the American Legion Post #14. He was an avid WWII enthusiast and could count on turning on the television to the history channel already on. He enjoyed things from picking up a good book to the excitement of most sporting events. Most of all, he enjoyed all of his family, his kids, and watching his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Kathy (at home), sons Donald Jones of Camas,WA; Richard Jones of Washougal,WA; daughters, Cheryl Kysar of Camas, WA; Jeri Hughes of Vancouver, WA; Angel Slot of Washougal,WA; Ashley Lesesne of Camas,WA; Allyson Lesesne of Vancouver,WA;12 grandchildren;4 great grandchildren; brothers, Robert Jones of Davenport, IA; Ronald Jones of Melbourne, FL; Jerry Jones of Berue, IL; Steve Jones of Davenport, IA; sisters, Patsy Welzenbach of Davenport, IA; VIcki Schneider of Ddavenport, IA; Gail Septer of Davenport IA; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers Jim, Denny, and Nubbies. There will be a Celebration of Life Services scheduled for a later date.
