F. Lorraine Babcock peacefully passed away at her home in Washougal with her family by her side on Thursday, January 19, 2012. Born on August 7, 1922 in Laytonville, California to Raymond and Ruby (Standley) Dyer; Lorraine was 89 years old.
A Washougal resident since 1993, Lorraine was formerly of California. She worked at both P.G.E. and for the Oakland Public Schools. An avid animal lover, Lorraine also enjoyed working and most importantly spending time with her loving family.
Lorraine is survived by her daughter Diane (John) Suchie of Washougal; son Thomas (Bridget) Noble of Battle Ground, Washington; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Paul Babcock in 1962.
There will be a celebration of Lorraine's life on Monday, January 23rd at 1:00 pm at Brown's Funeral Home: 410 NE Garfield St., Camas, WA 98607. Private entombment will be held in Oakland California. Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
