Robert Arthur Dawson was born in Escanaba Michigan on May 14, 1944 to Dorothy and Eugene (Bud) Dawson.
His father, Bud Dawson, was a Pearl Harbor survivor. He waged a brave battle against ALS disease until his quiet passing on July 25th, surrounded by family. Like his father, Bob was a proud Veteran. He retired from BBA Nonwovens in 2000 after 35 years of service.Bob enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. He spent most ofhis free time fishing (or talking about fishing) on the Columbia River. His quest for the 'big one' led him to Sitka, Alaska and Vancouver, B.C. with his family.
Bob is survived by his mother, Dorothy Dawson of Cedar Hills, Texas, his wife of 24 years, Charlene (Charlie) Dawson, sons Brian Dawson (KP) of Auburn Georgia, Allen Stratton (Renee) of Speedway, Indiana, daughter Kasey Morales (Tony) and grandchildren Audrey, Alexandra, Nikolas, Drake, Cameron and Hannah, along with numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws.
