Marilyn States Goodman passed away surrounded by her loved ones after a bravely fought battle against cancer August 15, 2014. She was 44. Marilyn was born January 23, 1970 to her parents Stephen and Carmen States, in San Gabriel California. She received her Bachelor's Degree at University of Oregon, and her Masters Degree in Social Work at Portland State University. Marilyn had a kind and giving heart, and touched the lives of many people through her acts of selflessness. She was a 6 year resident of Camas and organized and managed the Camas Famers Market. She was a member of Journey church. Marilyn was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Marilyn will be lovingly remembered by her husband Bryan, four sons: Bryan T. Goodman II, John C. Goodman, Keenan R. Goodman, and Jhestin J. Goodman; her daughter Erika R. Walters; parents Stephan and Carmen; four sisters: Leslie S. Spoor, Eve M. Cohen, Aileen A. Blackmore, and Lauren E. Pettit; mother-in¬-law Dolores A. Goodman, as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. There will be a celebration of Marilyn's life on Sunday, August 24, at 2PM, held at the Wood Village Baptist Church in Troutdale. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the National Alliance for Ovarian Cancer of SW Washington, Children's Home Society in Washougal or the Camas Farmers Market.
