Donald O. Perry peacefully passed away on Friday, May 23, 2008 at his home in Vancouver. Born on April 14, 1943 in Baker, Montana, Donald was 64 years old.
A 30 year Vancouver-Portland resident, Donald worked as a truck driver in the transportation industry. He was a member of the Camas Moose Lodge L.O.O.M. #1042, Gresham Eagles, and Gateway Elks. He also enjoyed country dancing.
Donald is survived by his loving wife of 11 years Charlotte at home, sons Charles Perry of Birmingham, Alabama, and Jason Perry of Kansas, step-son Mike Staats of Ariel, Washington, and step-daughter Karen Young of MiIwaukie, Oregon, sister Phyllis Irin of Austin, Texas, four step-grandchildren, and best friend Tom Wall.
There will be a Celebration of Donald's life on Friday, May 30th from 4:30-7:30 pm at Pizza Mia Rystorante Sports Bar: 915 North Anchor Way in Portland. Donations in his honor may be sent to OHSU Cancer Research Institute: 3181 SW Sam Jackson Park Road, CR 145, Portland, OR 97239-3098.
