Ruth S. Hatten peacefully passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2008 in Vancouver. Born on March 16, 1916 in Denton, Montana, Ruth was 92 years old. A Camas-Washougal resident since 1959, Ruth worked as a Rewinder Operator for Pendleton Woolen Mill in Washougal. She was also a member of the Columbia Rebekah's Lodge #220. Ruth is survived by her daughters Gayla Marple and Susan Olschewski both of Washougal, son Ronald Hatten of Libby, Montana, eight grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandson. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Hap Hatten in 1960 and daughter Ellen Boehm in 1991. There will be no public service. Memorials in Ruth's honor may be sent to the Ray Hickey Hospice House: 2112 E Mill Plain Blvd. Vancouver, WA 98661. Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
