Obituary of Virginia Jester

Virginia Lou Jester passed away on October 12, 2014. She was 87 years old. Virginia was born on January 14, 1927 to her parents George and Stella Jones, in Pendleton, Oregon. She graduated Camas High School in 1945, and graduated beauty school one year later, going on to spend her working life as a beautician for over 60 years. She owned her own hair salon which her daughter now runs. She was involved in many groups: The General Federation of Women's Club (Beta Jr. and Gemini Club), Columbian Rebekah Lodge # 220, The Good Sam Traveling Club. Virginia was a special woman, and she loved doing things to help others. She enjoyed traveling to the beach, especially Long Beach, studying family history and genealogy, and most importantly, spending time with her family. Virginia is survived by her daughter Jeanette, son Harry (Wife Kathy), grandchildren Justin, Robert, and Rebecca, great-grandchildren Austin, Nathaniel, Hayden and Jameson, brothers Everett and Albert. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, George Jester in 1987, her sister Catheryn in 2005 and infant son in 1950. There will be a celebration of Virginia's life held on Monday, October 20, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Brown's Funeral Home, with a reception to follow and burial at Fern Prairie Cemetery. Those who wish may make a donation in Virginia's name to the Ronald McDonald House, Meals on Wheels, or a charity of choice.
