Our friendship started in 1996. Pamela and Greg were our neighbors who lived across the street. Pamela and I got to know each other then of course Greg also became my friend. I was over there a lot having coffee or drinks in the hot tub. Greg used to say I was his other wife! When I had major surgery for cancer they were there for me! It was snowing so Greg would come over to my house to walk my sons and I across the street to go visit so I wouldn't slip and fall. I was a single parent so Pamela and Greg made sure I never spent a holiday aone when my sons were at their Dad's. Greg always had a smile on his face and a pun on his lips! I never caught them the first time around until I looked at the smile on his face and knew he had got me again! Greg was such a kind and caring person. When I met Ken 10 years ago he and Greg became good friends and since they both love puns they had a lot in common and drove me nuts! Our trip to Las Vegas was so special for Greg's birthday a few years ago. There are so many memories from the last 18 years! I will miss him a lot! I wish I could be there in person to say Goodbye but I know Greg understands. Lots of love and hugs to my good friend Pamela and the rest of his family.

We have fond memories of Greg behind the plate and in the stands at so many baseball games. Always a "fair" (meaning good) umpire and a loyal fan and friend, we will think of him every time we step into a baseball park. Greg is now "safe at home" forever!

"Now we look forward with confidence to our heavenly bodies, realizing that every moment we spend in these earthly bodies is time spent away from our eternal home in heaven with Jesus. We know these things are true by believing, not by seeing. And we are not afraid, but are quite content to die, for then we will be at home with the Lord. So our aim is to please him always in everything we do, whether we are here in this body or away from this body and with him in heaven." (Paul- II Corinthians 5:5-9, Living Bible) So my brother, Rest peacefully in the arms of a loving Jesus.
