SPC. Kacey Charles Day passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2008 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Born on August 16, 1987 in Vancouver, Kacey was 20 years old.
A lifetime Clark County resident, Kacey graduated from Camas High School in 2005. He was an active member of the United States Army, having already completed one tour in Iraq serving as a Specialist. Kacey enjoyed hunting, 4-H, fishing, and camping.
Kacey is survived by his parents Richard and Jody Day, sisters Sarah Miller and Danielle Simpson, brothers Shaun Lanham and Brandon Day, grandparents Charles and Kay Day, and Wendell Smith, great-grandmother Genevieve Willey, nieces Leia and Alora, nephews Kyle and Aidan, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
There will be a Celebration of Life Service with full military honors for Kacey on Monday, July 7th at 1:00 pm at Grace Foursquare Church in Camas. Viewing will be held on Sunday from 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Brown's Funeral Home in Camas. Vault interment will take place at the Camas Cemetery.
Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
