Reverend Larry Alfonzo Starr went to his Lord on Sunday, September 7, 2008 in Vancouver. Born on January 24, 1941 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Larry was 67 years old. A thirty year resident of the Vancouver area, Larry was a Veteran of the US Air Force. He enjoyed drawing, carving, helping out others in need, and enjoying nature. Most of all Larry enjoyed preaching about God and being around his family and friends. Larry is survived by his wife of 28 years Mary at home, daughters Christina Cruz of Vancouver, Alicia Starr of Vancouver, and Kathy Carter of Portland, sons Lawrence Starr of Vancouver, Emanuel Starr of Vancouver, Michael Watson of North Carolina, and Brian Watson of North Carolina, twin-sister Mattie Watson of North Carolina, and sister Quinny Watson of North Carolina, eleven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. There will be a Celebration of Life Service for Larry on Saturday, September 27th at 1:00 pm at Memorial Lutheran Church: 2700 East 28th St., Vancouver, WA 98661. Interment will take place at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland. Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
