Raymond Sprague passed away on Monday, January 05, 2009 in Vancouver. Born on May 6, 1922 in Smith, Alberta, Canada, Raymond was 86 years old. A Washougal resident for the last 62 years, Raymond worked as a truck driver, and then went to at Washougal Lumber in Washougal before retiring. He was a Veteran of WWII serving in the Pacific as a member of the United States Naval Air Force. Raymond was also a lifetime member of the Veteran's of Foreign Wars Schick-Ogle Post #4278 of Camas. He was an extreme motorcycle enthusiast who enjoyed traveling, fishing, and hiking, and being with his family. Raymond is survived by his loving wife of 66 years Marion at home, daughter Janice Boschee, granddaughters Robin Brown and Wendy Whitesitt, and great-grandchildren Jared Brown and Jenea Whitesitt. He was preceded in death by his brother Herbert Sprague. A graveside service was held on Thursday, January 8th at Sunnyside Cemetery in Washougal. Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
