Obituary of Marlene Tisnado

Marlene Ann Tisnado peacefully passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2009 in Camas. Born on October 22, 1933 in San Jose, California, Marlene was 75 years old. A Camas resident for the last five years, Marlene was formerly of Long Beach, Washington and Citrus Heights, California. She was a member of Community of Christ Church and worked as a registered nurse. An avid knitter, Marlene also enjoyed traveling; having visited Norway, Japan, and going across the U.S. She will be remembered for outliving her kidney cancer life-expectancy diagnosis by thirteen years, and for loving her family and her Lord. Dawn is survived by her daughter Dawn Welch of Camas, sons Gilbert Tisnado Jr. of Sacramento, CA, James Tisnado of Greenville, North Carolina, and Michael Tisnado of Portland, Oregon, nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of thirty-seven years Gilbert Tisnado in 2000. There will be a Celebration of Marlene's life on Saturday, January 24th at 2:00 pm at Community of Christ Church. Donations in Marlene's memory may be sent to the American Cancer Society. Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
