Obituary of Beverley Hughey

Beverley Merle Hughey, age 84 years, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, February 18, 2012. Mrs. Hughey was a lifetime resident of the Camas-Washougal area. Mrs. Hughey graduated from Washougal High School in 1946, and graduated from Clark College in 1950. She was a member of the Camas Church of the Nazarene, the Fern Prairie Grange, the Camas-Washougal Historical Society, and a volunteer at the Two Rivers Museum. She worked with the Fern Prairie Fire Dept. She worked several other jobs, finally as a bookkeeper. Mrs. Hughey was one of the organizers of the Camas-Washougal Painting Club. She was a top-notch oil painter and won the First Grand Award as an amateur. This award was presented to her by the Society of Washington Artists in 1973. Mrs. hughey is survived by her husband, Curtis, at home: Son: Mark Hughey of North Bonneville, WA; A Daughter, Carolyn Marsh of Vancouver, WA 5 Grandchildren & 5 Great Granchildren Brother: Donal Burris of Vancouver, WA A Celebration of Life Service will be Thursday, February 23, at 11:00 A.M. at Brown's Funeral Home in Camas.
