Carlyle James Barnard peacefully passed away with his family by his side on Saturday, February 7, 2009 in Vancouver. Born on August 17, 1940 in Portland, Oregon, to George and Violet Barnard, Carlyle was 68 years old.
A lifetime Portland/Vancouver resident, Carlyle was an entrepreneur who also worked in the construction industry. He was considered a man "always on the go" who also enjoyed being an artist in his spare time. Most of all, Carlyle enjoyed being with his family and friends and loved them very much.
Carlyle is survived by his loving wife of 43 years Annie at home, sons Nicholas James Barnard of Vancouver and Frank James Barnard of Vancouver, daughter Catherine T.J. Barnard of Vancouver, sisters Maxine Elsaas, Deanna Barnard, Julie Barnard, and Debbie Lister, and six grandchildren.
There will be a private family service only. Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
