James Frank Begier Sr. returned to his Lord on Tuesday, March 10, 2009. Born on February 25, 1925 in Forsythe, Montana, James was 84 years old. A Washougal resident since 1948, James worked as a papermaker at Crown Zellerbach Paper Mill in Camas. He was a Veteran of the United States Army during World War II, and a member of the Veteran's of Foreign Wars Post #4278. He also was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. James will be remembered for his love for Western movies and spending time with his family and grandchildren. James is survived by his son Johnnie Begier of Washougal, daughter Bonnie Curtis of Washougal, nine grandchildren, and sixteen great-grandchildren. A celebration of James' life was held on Friday, March 13th at Brown's Funeral Home. Vault interment will full military honors followed at the Sunnyside Cemetery in Washougal. Donations in James' memory may be sent to the Washington Special Olympics: 2150 North 107th Street, Suite 220, Seattle, WA 98133. Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas have been entrusted with arrangements.
