Obituary of Mary Christy

Mary Carolyn Christy peacefully passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2009 at her residence in Vancouver. Born in Glendale, California, Mary was 83 years old. Mary was a former resident of Seabrook, Texas before moving to Camas. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Seabrook where she played the organ and attended the Camas United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Friends of the Library and was involved with the Focus On Mature Learning classes at Clark College. Mary is survived by her children Paula Christy, David Rowland Christy, and Perry Christy, and one grandson. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Oliver Perry Christy Jr. in 1987. A memorial service for Mary will be held on Saturday, May 9th at 10:00 am at the Camas United Methodist Church: 706 NE 14th Avenue in Camas. Interment will take place at the Camas Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary's memory may be sent to the Friends of the Camas Public Library: 625 NE 4th Avenue, Camas, WA 98607 and the Camas United Methodist Church. Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
