Carole, We don't have to tell you what a wonderful man Jim was. You spent years with him, you know what a gem of a man he was. My husband worked with Jim at H-P for many years. From the beginning of their relationship Al held Jim in high regard. He often told me how good Jim was as a tech and how smart he was. If Al needed something done quickly and correctly he knew he could count on Jim. When our kids were young Jim brought his motorcycle to our house to show the kids the "sparkies" he put on his bike. His youthful excitement was so delightful to see. The kids thought he was the "coolest guy ever". Al and I agree, he was the coolest guy ever! He will be missed by so many people whose lives he touched and made better. Noranne, Al, Jeff. Meghan and Tim Olson

Carole, We are so very sorry to hear about the loss of J.D. I got to know him at HP and will always remember how scared I was of him when we first met. I quickly learned that he was a very gentle person, always willing to lend a hand. Since I retired we have also enjoyed our visits at the Moose Lodge. He will be missed! You are in our thoughts and prayers, Judy and Duane

Jimmy, I love you more today than the day we were married. 17 years wasn't enough time but I wouldn't trade one moment of them for anything in the world except to have you back. I will carry you in my thoughts and heart until the day I die. I am forever and always your loving wife.

Jim changed my view of big, scary, tattooed biker dudes. Even though our politics sometimes (ok, often) differed, the conversation was never boring. I'm glad I had the chance to know him and work with him. Carole, it's been a while since the ol' glory days, but you know I'm thinking of you.

I was sad to hear of Jim's passing. I knew him from the Cascade Tavern, I was the bartender. Besides his rough exterior he had a gentle manner that never ceased to amaze me. He and his "brother" Jim, were always good company on my shift. I am glad to have made his acquaintance and wish him peace.

I first met JD in 1981 at HP when I became the supervisor for the department he worked in. My first thought of JD was "how am I going to give that biker dude a performance evaluation?" I soon realized JD was one of the most gentle and kind people I had ever met; not to mention an outstanding technician. We quickly became friends and I soon learn of his love for cats which I shared. I remember him tossing a rubber fishing worm that his cat undefined would faithfully retrieve! Jim was a true "AMERICAN" and a great person. I'll truly miss him!

I know that you are in another place now but that reality has not yet hit home. I am and always will be your loving wife forever and always. Carole
