James "Jim" Thomas Gray peacefully passed away on Monday, May 25, 2009 at his home in Washougal. Born on March 26, 1948 in Portland, Oregon, Jim was 61 years old. A twenty-one year Camas-Washougal resident, Jim was formerly from Portland. He was a graduate of Cleveland High School in Portland and a Veteran of the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1968-1973. He was a master carpenter and worked the last ten years for Georgia Pacific Paper Mill in Camas. He enjoyed boating and lying in the sun. Most of all, Jim enjoyed being with his family and friends. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 13 years Susan at home, daughters Tara Mickes, Bridgette Peterson, son Jesse Brown, brothers Steve Gray, Gilbert Barthelemy, sisters Teri McCrary, Lynn Marquardt, Michelle Brumell, and Dena Williams, mother Mikki Barthelemy-Wooldridge, step-mother Vicki Gray, and five grandchildren. There will be a Graveside Service with full military honors for Jim on Wednesday, June 3rd at 1:00 pm at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland. A public military procession will start at 11:30 am at Brown's Funeral Home in Camas. Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
