Susan Ann Autry returned to her Lord on Sunday, May 31, 2009 after a long and courageous five year battle with brain cancer. Born on December 6, 1952 in Kankakee, Illinois to Daniel and Beverly Johnson, Sue was 56 years old. A 42 year resident of the Camas-Washougal area, Sue was a graduate of Camas High School. She worked as a bus driver for the Camas School District and coached for many years in the Camas-Washougal Youth Soccer Association. Sue attended the Camas Assembly of God Church and was an active contributor to the Feed The Children Foundation. She enjoyed playing both adult women soccer and coed soccer, gardening, and animals. Most of all Sue will be remembered for her deep love for her Lord Jesus, and spending time with her family and friends. Sue is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 35 years Sam at home, daughters Angela Johnson and Janelle Autry both of Camas, son Tyler Autry of Camas, mother Beverly Starr of Burlington, Iowa, brothers Danny Johnson of Seattle, Steve Johnson of Burlington, Iowa, and Jim Starr of Tacoma, sisters Barbara Donovan of Redmond, Oregon, Debbie Peters of Quebec, Canada, and Vickie Starr of Portland, Oregon, grandson Colton Johnson, granddaughter Riley Tiedeman, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. There will be a Celebration of Sue's life on Thursday, June 4th at 6:00 pm at the Camas Assembly of God Church: 500 SE Everett Rd. Camas, WA 98607. Viewing will be held on Wednesday, at Brown's Funeral Home from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm and on Thursday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Vault interment will be held at the Camas Cemetery. Memorial donations in Sue's honor may be sent to Feed The Children: P.O. Box 36, Oklahoma, OK 73101-0036. Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
