William (Bill) Dean Nelson of Vancouver, WA was 53 years young when he peacefully passed away of cancer on June 2nd at home. Bill was born in Everett, WA on November 27th, 1955 to Clifford and Verna Nelson. He graduated Hudson Bay High School and then married Kay Penn and later married Colynn Wright staying in Vancouver for life. Bill worked for Silver Eagle Trucking until they closed and then went to work for ABF Freight continuing to be a lifelong Teamster. He won national truck driving championships, safety awards, and made it known he wanted to be the best at everything he did. Fishing and hunting were Bill's passions in life, but scouring estate sales and garage sales for antiques and collectibles was where he was found in the off seasons. He rarely relaxed Survivors of Bill are his wife Colynn of Vancouver, son Brett, daughter Kryssi, step-daughter Sara, grandchildren: Sierra, Akaylia, Kasen, Tristen and Ashton and his sister Pat. Services will be held Saturday June 13th at 10am at the People's Church (6801 E. Mill Plain Blvd Vancouver, WA 98664 360-750-7235). In lieu of flowers, family asks for donations to be made to: www.caringbridge.org or www.ccalliance.org (colon cancer). Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
