Ronald Vincent Cowan peacefully passed away on Wednesday, June 03, 2009 at his home in Camas. Born on October 19, 1942 in Camas to Clinton and Amelia Cowan, Ron was 66 years old.
A lifetime Camas resident, Ron was a 1960 graduate of Camas High School. He was a stay-at-home Dad, a 4-H Leader, and volunteer firefighter for East County Fire and Rescue District #9. Ron enjoyed his family, gardening, animals, and mountain climbing, having climbed Mt. Hood, Mt. Adams, and Mt. St. Helens.
Ron is survived by his wife of 44 years Verla at home, son Patrick Cowan of Vancouver, daughter Kristen Morin of Brush Prairie, brothers Larry Cowan of Vancouver, and Spencer Cowan of Orange, California, and grandchildren Emily, Marissa, Bryson, Nick, Cody, Nathan, Kaleb, and Emma.
There will be a Celebration of Ron's life on Saturday, June 6th at 11:00 am at Brown's Funeral Home in Camas.
Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
