Lucile Marie Bruley returned to her Lord on Thursday, July 30, 2009 in Vancouver. Born on September 27, 1921 in Washougal, Washington, to Ernest and Cecil Steinmeyer, Lucile was 87 years old. An 85 year resident of Washougal, Lucile was a member of the Camas Assembly of God Church. She was known for her love of flowers, gardening, and solving crossword puzzles. Most of all, Lucile loved spending time around her family and friends. Lucile is survived by her sons Donald (Millie) Bruley of Yakima, and Mark (Molly) Bruley of Washougal, daughter Jerrilyn (Keith) Batten of Washougal, brothers Howard Steinmeyer of Folcroft, Pennsylvania, and Lyle Steinmeyer of Boise, Idaho, sisters Barbara Thurlow of Washougal, Deloris Crodle of Issaquah, Bonnie Copeland of Washougal, and Marjorie Pelletier of Vancouver, eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Ernest and Cecil Steinmeyer, husband Louis Bruley, and brother Kenneth Steinmeyer. There will be a Celebration of Lucile's life on Wednesday, August 12th at 11:00 am at the Camas Assembly of God Church. Interment will be held at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland. Memorials in Lucile's honor may be sent to the Camas Assembly of God Church Missionary Fund. Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
