Allan Walter Mattila peacefully passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2009 in Vancouver. Born on March 5, 1924 in Astoria, Oregon, Allan was 85 years old.
A Clark County resident since 1978, Allan worked as a fisherman in the fishing industry.
Allan is survived by his daughters Christine Weaver of St. Helens, Oregon, and Helen Mattila of Vancouver, sons Donald Mattila of Vancouver, and Gary Mattila of Vancouver, brother Reino Mattila of Astoria, and sister Irja Beeler of Naples, Florida, and Larianna, Kristofer, and Stefanie Weaver. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 46 years Helka Mattila and brother Ralph Mattila.
There will be a graveside service on Friday, August 21st at 2:00 pm at the Ocean View Cemetery in Warrenton, Oregon. Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
