Michael Ray Anderson died in his home on Tuesday, September 8, 2009 in Vancouver, after battling pancreatic cancer and is now resting in peace. Born on April 17, 1969 in Vancouver, Washington, Michael was 40 years old. A lifetime Camas-Vancouver resident, Michael graduated from Camas High School in 1987, and worked as a Drafter/Design Specialist. He enjoyed being outdoors, camping, going to the beach, cooking and barbequing, and was an avid basketball and football player who also enjoyed watching both sports. Most of all, Michael loved spending time with his family and friends. Michael is survived by his loving and devoted wife Trish and their sons Patrick (13) and Thomas (10) Anderson at home, mother Beverly and step-father Gary Hatzenbeler of Washougal, father Vernon Anderson of Washougal, sister Brooke and brother-in-law Aaron Churchman of Washougal, and mother-in-law and father-in-law Mary and Bill Miner. Michael is also survived by his nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, other family members, and many friends. There will be a celebration of Michael's life on Saturday, September 19th at 11:00 am at the Church of the Good Shepherd: 805 SE Ellsworth St. Vancouver, WA 98664. The family is asking that memorials in Michael's honor be donated to set up a college fund for his sons. Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
