Leo Bernard Blodgett Sr. passed away on Monday, November 9, 2009 at his home in Vancouver. Born on October 1, 1919 in Monmouth, Oregon, Leo was 90 years old. A Washougal resident since 1945, Leo served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Washougal. He held degrees from Western Oregon State College and the University of Oregon. He served in various educational positions for forty years including teacher, principal, and superintendent in the Washougal School District. Leo is survived by his son Leo Bernard Blodgett Jr., daughter Catherine Smalley, sister Helen Addison, and two grandchildren. At Leo's request there will be no public service. Inurnment will be held at the Camas Cemetery. Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
