Carolyn Sue McConnell was born on November 22, 1941 in Boulder City, Nevada, Carolyn was 67 years old. She lost her brave fight with lung cancer on Friday, November 13, 2009 at the Ray Hickey Hospice House in Vancouver.
A Washougal resident since 1988, Carolyn was formerly of Vancouver and Seattle. She was a charter member of the Camas Moose Lodge #1042 L.O.O.M., the Washougal Eagles #4390 F.O.E., the Vancouver Elks Lodge, and the Daughters of the American Legion Cape Horn Post #122 of Washougal. She was known amongst her friends for throwing a softball like a pro, her love for sunsets and the ocean, painting, being an artist, crocheting, and playing Keno and cribbage. Most of all, Carolyn loved spending time with her family and friends.
Carolyn is survived by her daughter Debbie Tuerk of Washougal, sons Stuart Morley of Kennewick, Washington, Dennis McConnell of Amity, Oregon, and Raymond Morley of Nashville, Tennessee, mother Vera Morrison of Glendale, Arizona, brother James Grable of Florida, sister Frieda Lowe of Glendale, Arizona, aunt Marilyn Landau of Vancouver, and grandchildren Carolyn Sue, Kenny, Erica, Meredith and Rilee, and her grand-dog Fuzzy Bear.
There will be viewing for Carolyn on Wednesday, November 18th from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Brown's Funeral Home in Camas. There will be no public service.
