Obituary of Frank Colletto

Frank Colletto peacefully passed away with his family by his side on Friday, November 27, 2009 at his home in Vancouver after a courageous fight with stomach cancer. Born on May 21, 1940 to Salvatore and Katherine Colletto in Monterey, California, Frank was 69 years old. A longtime Vancouver resident, Frank graduated from Monterey High School in 1958, San Jose State University in 1963, and Multnomah School of the Bible in 1975. He worked as a minister and also for Union Carbide before finally retiring from Boeing. He was a longtime member of Glenwood Community Church and enjoyed numerous church activities over the years. He enjoyed camping, fishing, traveling, swimming, and writing poetry; having had some of his work published. Most of all, he loved his family. Frank is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Sheila at home, children Bert (Melissa) Colletto, Frank (Susan) Colletto, Colette (Keith) Tynan, Sue (Morgan) Colletto-Goodwin, David (Theresa) Colletto, and Salvatore (Stephanie) Colletto, brother Salvatore Colletto Jr., and grandchildren Zachariah Tynan, Blake Tynan, Stephanie Tynan, Christian Colletto, Nick Colletto, Jack Colletto, Sierra Colletto, Savannah Colletto, Dominic Colletto, Olivia Colletto, Chelsea Jensen, and Taylor Jensen. He was preceded in death by his brothers Michael Colletto, Bert Colletto, and sister Bessie Sperry. There will be a graveside service for Frank on Thursday, December 3rd at 11:00 am at Washougal Memorial Cemetery: 3329 Q Street, Washougal, WA 98671. A celebration of Frank's life will follow at 3:00 pm at Glenwood Community Church: 12201 NE 72nd Ave., Vancouver, WA 98686. Viewing will be held on Wednesday, December 2nd from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Brown's Funeral Home in Camas. Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
