Obituary of Vada Johnson

Vada Phyllis Johnson peacefully passed away on Friday, November 27, 2009 at the Ray Hickey Hospice House in Vancouver. Born on March 22, 1914 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Adolf and Vada Kast, Vada was 95 years old.
A 45 year Washougal resident, Vada was formerly from Long Beach, California. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Parkers Landing Ward in Washougal. She enjoyed crocheting angels, table cloths, and snowflakes. The Christmas Season was her favorite season of the year. She also enjoyed various arts and crafts, dancing, and fishing with her husband Orville.
Vada is survived by her loving son Ron Proctor of Camas, grandchildren Susan Hillman, Steve Hickey, and Jeff Hickey, great-grandchildren Larissa Hillman, and Kaylee Hillman. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Orville Johnson in 1986, daughter Susan Clark in 1972, and son James Proctor in 1991.
There will be a celebration of Vada's life on Wednesday, December 2nd at 11:00 am at Brown's Funeral Home in Camas. Vault interment will follow at the Washougal Memorial Cemetery, and a reception will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Parkers Landing Ward in Washougal. Viewing will be held on Tuesday from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Brown's Funeral Home.
