Stephen "Steve" Paul Crane passed away on Monday, February 22, 2010 at Southwest Washington Medical Center. Born on February 8, 1952 in Portland, Oregon, Steve was 58 years old. A lifetime Portland/Washougal resident, Steve graduated from Grant High School in 1970. At Grant, Steve played and lettered in Varsity basketball and track. Steve was an avid golfer who also enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family. Recently, he became an activist for people against domestic violence. Working diligently, he co-authored "Erin's Law" with his wife Kerry in remembrance of their daughter Erin Dawn Wilson. The law is in its final stages of passage for the State of Washington. Steve is survived by the love of his life Kerry, whom he has been married to for six wonderful years. He was preceded in death by their daughter Erin Dawn Wilson in 2007. There will be a Celebration of Steve's life on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at the People's Church: 6801 East Mill Plain Blvd.; Vancouver, WA 98664-1134. Memorials in Steve's memory may be sent to Parents of Murdered Children Memorial Fund: 14427 South Forsythe Road; Oregon City, OR 97045. Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
