Shirley Ann Berry peacefully passed away at her home in Battle Ground with her family by her side on Saturday, May 15, 2010. Born on February 3, 1935 in Carlisle, Pennsylvania to Herman and Alda Paxton, Shirley was 75 years old. Shirley worked at Jantzen Knitting mills and also drove a school bus for the Battle Ground School District for many years. She also worked as a food server at Southwest Washington Medical Center in Vancouver. Shirley loved flowers, gardening, her dogs and all of nature's critters. She will truly miss her Friday breakfast friends at Julie's Restaurant. Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 58 years Donald P. Berry at home, children Donald "Dick" Berry, Tina Veitenheimer, Bonita "Bo" Haldeman, and Nathan Berry; grandchildren Stephanie, Kevin, Levi, Dustin, Nick, Laci, Tyson, Zachary, Josh, Tiffany, Ethan, and Madison; and great-grandchild "Baby Harris" who will be born in September. There will be a private family service only. Donations in Shirley's memory may be sent to Kaiser Hospice. Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
