Doyle Dean Smith passed away on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at Southwest Washington Medical Center in Vancouver. Born on September 13, 1935 in Brewster, Kansas to Thomas and Alta (Burling) Smith; Doyle was 75 years old.
A lifetime Camas-Washougal resident; Doyle worked for and retired from Crown Zellerbach Paper Mill in Camas, and was a member of the A.W.P.P.W. Local #5 in Camas. He enjoyed playing cards and chess, collecting rocks, gold mining, traveling and spending time with his family and friends.
Doyle is survived by his sons Franklin A. (Angel) Smith, Lancelot "Lance" D. Smith, and Andre H. (Paula) Smith; brother Donald L. (Carolen) Smith; seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his brother Thomas J. Smith in 1994.
There will be no public service per Doyle's request. Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
