Obituary of Grace Gilliam

Grace Fusako Gilliam peacefully passed away on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at her home in Vancouver. Born on January 30, 1930 in Tokyo, Japan Grace was 80 years old.
A Vancouver resident since 1975, Grace received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Evergreen State College. She worked as a teacher at Clark College teaching Japanese. She enjoyed art, drawing, painting, and traveling. Most importantly, Grace enjoyed being around her family and friends.
Grace is survived by her daughter Terry (Steve) Ammons of Vancouver; son James (Rhonda) Gilliam of Camas; sisters Sanae Chiba of Japan, and Yayoi Aragaki of Seattle; brother Ichiro Chiba of Japan; and grandchildren Bradley and Kaitey Gilliam of Camas. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of thirteen years Earl Gilliam in 1970.
There will be no public services. Interment will be held at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland. Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
