Obituary of Harry Tipton

Harry Gale Tipton, age 78, passed away Saturday January 15, 2005 in Vancouver, WA. A resident of Washougal, Harry has lived in the area for 33 years.
Harry was born July 6, 1926 in Yelm, WA. He joined the United States Army in 1944 and was stationed at Fort Lewis, WA. In the early 1950's he moved to San Francisco, where he became an auto mechanic. He met and married his wife Shirley and had five children.
Harry loved spending time at the ocean with his friends and family. His favorite spot was Half Moon Bay, and in 1970 he became a certified scuba diver. He retired in 1972, and moved his family back to Washington.
Harry loved life....and he loved people. He spent his life helping and doing for others. He knew no strangers....only friends....and he will be missed by many.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years Shirley Tipton, his twin brother Barry Tipton, and his sister Mavis Murry. He is survived by his four sons, Frank Tipton, John Tipton, all of Everett, WA. Robert Tipton of Washougal, WA., one daughter Mary Tipton of Everett four Grandchildren and three great-granddaughters.
