Obituary of Stephen Dean McCarthy

Stephen Dean McCarthy, 79, of Vancouver, Washington passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2005 at his home in Vancouver. Born on May 23, 1925, Stephen was an eight year resident of Vancouver, after he lived numerous years in Portland, Oregon.
Stephen was a freight technician in the railroad industry before he retired. A veteran of World War II, Stephen served in the United States Navy aboard the USS LCI and the USS Munsee before he was honorably discharged. Stephen also enjoyed country music, fine art, and was a huge fan of boxer dogs.
Stephen is survived by his wife; Lois at home, two daughters; Kate McCarthy at home, and Mary McCarthy of Beaverton, Oregon, and his brother; Lieutenant-Colonel Terrance and Mary Fran McCarthy of Fort Worth, Texas.
There will be a Celebration of Life Graveside Service on Friday, April 1, 2005 at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon at 1:00 p.m. Brown's Funeral Home in Camas is in charge of arrangements.
