Stephen Brian Williams of Washougal, WA passed away on Monday, April 25, 2005 in Vancouver, WA. He was 64 years old.
Born on August 31, 1940 in Yakima, WA, Stephen was a veteran of the United States Coast Guard. Stephen had spent the last 41 years in Clark County, and the last 18 years at his home in Washougal. Stephen worked as a mill wright for both Crown Zellerbach and James River Paper Mill before retiring with BBA in Washougal in 2000.
Stephen was a member of New Heights Church and a former member of the Church of God of Vancouver. A licensed pilot who flew Cessnas, Stephen enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, hiking, and the outdoors. A former boy scout and skilled craftsman, Stephen helped his dad build their family's cabin in Goose Prairie at the age of sixteen, and he always enjoyed family outings and Gaither videos.
Stephen is survived by his wife; Nancy L. at home, and his 3 sons; Brian J. Williams of Washougal, Gary L. Williams of Woodland, and Thomas L. Williams of Washougal. He is also survived by his mother; Elizabeth Williams of Camas, and his brother; David Williams of Ariel, WA, and his sister; Laurie Chiodo of Richland, WA. Stephen is also blessed to leave behind eight grandchildren.
There will be a celebration of life service on Friday, April 29, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Gateway Community Church in Washougal. A graveside service will be held after the reception at 2:00 p.m. at the Washougal Memorial Cemetery in Washougal. Viewing will be held on Wednesday and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Brown's Funeral Home in Camas. The family has requested that donations in Stephen's memory be sent to the
