Helen Irene Vandel passed away on Monday, August 8, 2005 in Camas. She was 96 years old.
A former resident of Auburn, California, Helen had been a Clark County resident since 2000. She enjoyed gardening, playing bridge, and was a former member of the Women's Auxiliary of the American Institute of Mining Engineers.
Helen is survived by her daughter; Patricia Simon of Cincinnati, Ohio, two granddaughters, and three great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; Gailen Vandel in 1988, and her sister Gentry Linkhart, and brothers Roy and Boyd.
There will be no public service. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Helen's honor may be sent to Highland Terrace Nursing Center; 640 NE Everett Street, Camas, WA 98607. Brown's Funeral Home in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
