Robert Harrington Obituary

Robert Daniel Harrington was taken from us on August 6, 2005 in Vancouver at the age of 54. Born in Hood River, Oregon, Robert lived in Vancouver for the last six years. Robert owned his own business after serving his country in the United States Army; retiring with the rank of E7 after 22 years of active duty service. He was an avid fisherman who enjoyed the beauty and serenity of the outdoors, including the peacefulness of his backyard where he often barbequed and entertained family and friends. He was generous of spirit and enjoyed telling stories -- his sense of humor was memorable to all who knew him. Most of all, Robert loved his family. He was driven to succeed in all things he did and sacrificed much to ensure the prosperity and happiness of his family. He will be greatly missed. Robert is survived by his wife Laura of 37 years, daughter Debbie of Seattle, son Brian and daughter-in-law Ashley of Portland, 3 grandchildren Alex, Carlie, and Eva Marie, sister Carol, and brothers Jerry, Tim, and Ron as well as many other family members and dear friends. Services will be held on Thursday, August 18th, 2005. Meeting at Brown's Funeral Home in Camas, WA (360-834-3692) at 12:00 pm for a funeral procession to Willamette National Cemetery where the memorial will start promptly at 1:00 pm. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 3:00 pm at 3604 S.E. 144th Ct, Vancouver to share and honor memories of Robert. Brown's Funeral Home in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
