Helen Virginia Reimer passed away on Friday, August 12, 2005 in Washougal. Born on May 10, 1912, Helen was 93 years old.
A two year resident of Washougal, Helen was a former resident of Sunnyside, Washington for 55 years. She worked as a public school teacher before she retired. Helen was a longtime member of the United Methodist Church in Sunnyside, and belonged to the Sunnyside chapter #134 Order of Eastern Star. She also was a member of the Order of Amaranth, the Sunnyside Garden Club, the Novella Club, Duplicate Bridge, and the South Hill Garden Club.
Helen is survived by her son Robert and Susan Reimer of Evans, Georgia, daughter Sally and David Luse of Camas, three sisters, Margaret Jepson of Bellingham, Washington, Dorothy Sloan of Long Island, New York, and Jean Mackenzie of Seal Beach, California. She also leaves behind four grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Reimer (2000), daughter Sue Ellen Reimer, brother Kern Grimes, and sister Ruth Schindeldecker.
There will be a Celebration of Life Service for Helen on Sunday, August 14, 2005 at the Columbia Ridge Assisted Living Home in Washougal.
