Obituary of Dorothy Richardson

Dorothy Kathleen Richardson passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2005 in Vancouver. Born on May 11, 1932 to Harry and Mary Krieger, Dorothy was 83 years old. A 66 year Clark County resident, Dorothy worked as a homemaker before becoming a secretary for numerous libraries and at Clark College. She was also a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Camas. Dorothy enjoyed fine arts, camping, gardening, and decorating, family genealogy, loved her rose bushes, and took great pride in her home and yard. Most of all, Dorothy loved her Lord and her family. Dorothy is survived by her husband of 66 years, Lewis Richardson Sr. at home. She is also survived by her son, Lewis Richardson Jr. and wife Sue of Astoria, Oregon, sisters Rita Bishop of Lancaster, PA, and Mary Beth Krieger of Auburn, CA. She leaves behind two granddaughters Charlotte Richardson and Celeste Petersen, and two great-granddaughters Cala and Nana Petersen, all of Astoria, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers Conrad Krieger (1992) and Wes Krieger (2005). A vigil service will be held for Dorothy on Thursday, September 22, 2005 at 6:00 p.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Camas. A funeral mass will be on Friday, September 23, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Camas. Private interment will take place at the Camas Cemetery.
