Elaine Mallory Lewis passed away on February 5, 2006 in Vancouver. Born on June 27, 1914 in Coyle, Oklahoma, Elaine was 91 years old.
A Camas resident since 1991, Elaine previously lived 20 years in Berryville, Arkansas. She worked most of her life as a homemaker raising her four children. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, quilting, reading, playing Scrabble, donating to children's charities, and loving her family.
Elaine is survived by her husband Clarence at home, sons Jimmy Lewis of Montrose, Colorado, and Daniel Lewis of Troy, Michigan, daughters Donna Fisher of Vancouver, and Esther Peden of Lincoln, California, and brother John Gripe of Lockwood, Missouri. Elaine is blessed to leave behind ten grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
There will be a celebration of life service for Elaine at St. John's Presbyterian Church in Camas on Friday, February 10, 2006. The time of the service is still pending. Contact Brown's Funeral Home in Camas for details. Private family interment will be held at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Vancouver. Brown's Funeral Home in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
