Obituary of Bonnie Bishman

Bonnie Jo Bishman passed away on May 12, 2012 at the age of 71 . She was born in New Ulm, MN on October 13, 1940. She grew up in Gibbon, MN and was co-valedictorian of her graduating class. She met Richard Bishman while in nurse's training and they married in 1963. They lived in Milwaukee, WI and Downers Grove, IL before moving to Washougal, WA in 1984. She graduated from nurse's training at Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis MN. Bonnie retired as a nurse to stay home with her children. She was an avid tennis player and eventually went on to coach at Washougal high school. In recent years you could find her snow birding with her husband in Palm Springs enjoying the sun and golfing. She was survived in her death by her husband, Richard Bishman, their children Rachel Bertolino and her husband Michael of Vancouver, WA, Ryan Bishman and his wife Kerri of San Jose, CA and Renee Hartnett and her husband Josh of Seattle, WA; four grandsons, Dain and Austin Johnson, Nate Bertolino, Rory Bishman; one great grand daughter, Camry Johnson, and her two bothers Bill McGowan and Tom McGowan. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, William and Bernice McGowan. A memorial service will be held at Zion Lutheran church in Camas, WA on Thursday May 17th at 11am.
