Jessie Johnson Obituary

Jessie June Johnson passed away on June 6, 2006 in Vancouver. Born on August 27, 1915 in Baker City, Oregon, Jessie was 90 years old. A former seven year resident of Portland, Jessie lived most of her life in Pendleton before living the last 2 years in Battle Ground. She worked in the retail industry as a saleswoman and served as an Altar Guild for the Church of the Redeemer in Pendleton. She enjoyed reading magazines, looking at old photos, dogs and teddy bears, sweet treats, listening to her great granddaughter playing the piano, and loving her family and her Lord. Jessie is survived by her granddaughter Cindy (Jonathan) Brown of Yacolt, Washington, grandson Colin Johnson of Vancouver, and great-granddaughter Johannah Brown of Yacolt. A family graveside service was held on Saturday, June 10th at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Baker City, Oregon. Memorials in Jessie's memory may be sent to the Church of the Redeemer: 241 SE 2nd Street, Pendleton, OR 97801. Brown's Funeral Home in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
