Helen May Hambleton passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2006 in Camas. Born on November 9, 1933 in Portland, Oregon, Helen was 72 years old. Helen worked as a homemaker and had lived the past 43 years in Camas. She enjoyed shopping, playing cards and board games, feeding all the animals outside of her home, flowers, and gardening. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd E. Hambleton in 2005. She is survived by her sons Steve (Wina) Hambleton of Camas, Allen Hambleton of Glendale, Arizona, and Mike Hambleton of Camas, daughter Susan (Jesus) Arrendondo of Camas, brother Robert Rappe, sisters Echo Zettlemoyer of Canon City, Colorado, and Marilyn Smith of Carlton, Oregon, grandchildren Steven, Jennifer, and Aletia, and great-granddaughter Kaidence May Hambleton. A Celebration of Life Service will be on Tuesday, October 17th at 2:00 pm at Brown's Funeral Home in Camas. Viewing will be held on Monday from 10-5:00 pm at Brown's Funeral Home in Camas. Private entombment will take place at Lincoln Memorial Mausoleum in Portland. Donations in Helen's memory may be made to the SW Washington Humane Society: 2121 Saint Francis Lane, Vancouver, WA 98660. Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
