Dear Bonin family/ I was very saddened by the loss of your Dad but glad to know he is now not suffering. My memories of times with him are long but I especially appreciated the times he would call me when we lived in Seattle and would have great chats, it was like having one of my parents there. Always the big hug greeted you and his special smile was the last image you saw as we waved goodbye.. We will all miss him Love to all. Jim, lorraine, Michael and Jared

Dearest Mike, It's been a long time, huh? Thank God for computers. I tried to get in touch with you when I heard about your mother and Danny....but to no avail..I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad. I know it's hard. I lost my Dad this weekend after a 3 yr. illness, so I know how you feel. I have such fond memories of the times I spent at your house on St. Clair Street with your family. I loved them all. Remember the year we got snowed in at your house? We drank a lot of hot chocolate and played every board game in the house! You played your guitar and I sang "Bobby McGee".(smile)I baked Christmas cookies with your Mom, too. You know how we always loved Derek & the Dominos and old classic cars? Well...I named my only son "Derric" and I drive an '84 Cadillac Eldorado Barritz......I will always remember those times with you and your family with a smile....Thank You. I'd love to hear from you some time. Angelee

To my extended family, sorry I'm so late sending this. Bob and I have had you in our thoughts for quite awhile now, what with Jeannie and now Dad. We are so sorry for your lost again. It's hard to comprehend how one family can go through so much sadness and still go on as brave as you all do. We will miss seeing Dad when we move to Moses. We always enjoyed his visit's so much. I will never forget how your Mom and Dad took me and my boys in so many years ago for our first Thanksgiving dinner with your already large family. First time I had ever had rice potatoes and boy were they good. Everytime Bob would sweep your parents street Dad would run and make sure he had coffee. He still misses that. We are both so sorry and you know we love all of you so much. Your in our thoughts everyday. Take Care and hope to see you all again soon. Bob and Linda P.S. Wanda, thank you so much for taking care of my little buddy over in Moses. Can't wait till we move over.

As the years go on I look back and see things that could have been but now are different than anyone expected. I lost my Mom this year also in May to Colon Cancer and can understand the loss of a parent, so different than any other loss in life. I pray that there will be comfort in good memories of Walt for you. He had a terriffic smile and for me I only have good memories of him and Barb, not being intimately involved in any of the negative parts. Please accept my condolances for Jeannie, too...I didn't know she passed away. I always loved her. I would love to have contact with someone in your family again and talk about old times. It's hard to believe how many years have passed by. Love, Vicki

Dear Susie, Linda and all, I am so saddened to learn of the passing of your Dad and can't imagine how difficult this past year has been for you all. I will always remember the magical twinkle in your father's baby blue eyes, his ready laugh and how delighted Grandma and all of us in Mpls. were when he visited! My prayers and thoughts are with you and while I know you are in such a veil of sadness now, I hope that you appreciate how much joy you brought to his life - I remember his eyes sparkling the most during his visits when he would update us on your lives. Sincerely, Jo Gruidl Moore

I had the opportunity to take care of Walter at Mountainview House. It was great, every time I would walk in his room he would always greet everyone with a warm smile. He was a wonderful man and had many life experience's to tell. All were very interesting and made me fell like I had gotten to know him personally. Thank you to the family for allowing me to have the opportunity to take care of him.

I took care of Walter at Mountainview House. It was wonderful to listen to all of his stories from the war and the many pictures on the walls to accompany his stories. I am very thankful that I had the wonderful opportunity to provide care for him.

I have very fond memories of our family vacation in Washington when I was younger and of the many Bonin family visits to Minnesota to see Gram and family in the years to follow. I always enjoyed visiting and especially playing cards and will cherish these memories....Love you all, Lisa
