Walter Thomas Bonin passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2006 in Camas, Washington. Born on April 17, 1924 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Walter was 82 years old. Walter was a Veteran of the US Navy. He served as a flight navigator during World War II, and worked at the Atlantic Richfield Cherry Point Refinery before his retirement. He was a baptized Catholic. Walter enjoyed golfing, fishing and spending time with his many friends. He was well known for his volunteer work for the United Way. He is survived by three sons, Michael Bonin of Lynwood, WA, Patrick Bonin of Camas, WA and David Bonin of Portland, OR, daughters Susan Moseman of Kansas City, Missouri, and Linda Inge of Moses Lake, WA, brothers Richard Bonin, Edward Bonin, and William Bonin, all of Minneapolis, MN, sister Irene Delaney of Minneapolis, MN, nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara (1997), sons Joseph and Daniel Bonin, daughter Jeanne Paradis, brother James Bonin, and sister Marie Gruidl. There will be no public service. Interment will take place at Forest Cemetery in Coeur d' Alene, Idaho. Memorials in Walter's memory may be made to the United Way: 619 SW 11th Ave. Ste 300, Portland, OR 97205-2646. Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas, WA has been entrusted with arrangements.
