I am Willie's youngest son, left off the obituary here.
Unfortunately, I couldn't get up to Oregon for his funeral.
This memory I want to share about my dad.
He was the only person in my family who sent me a Birthday card on my birthday, Valentine's day, 1953.
Inside of every card was $2. and then he wrote, "Buy yourself a Playboy magazine and a candy bar .
Happy birthday son. *(He was the only one to show me love.) And, when I was 6, in Honolulu, he gave me a red tricycle ice cream truck. And now I'm 72, and still giving away sweet treats. (That helps cure Cancer.)
I love you dad. You were a kind and beautiful soul.
