Jay Charles Youngman peacefully passed away on Tuesday, July 10, 2007 in Camas. Born on November 15, 1963 in Auburn, Washington, Jay was 43 years old. Formerly of the Tri-Cities area, Jay and his family lived the last three years in Camas. A graduate of Central Washington University and Pacific University College of Optometry, Jay founded the State Vision Clinic in Vancouver. He was a member of the Optometric Physicians of Washington and a member of the Citizens Advisory Committee for the Camas School District. Jay was an avid golfer, and will be remembered for the love he had for his two sons Tyler and Drew and his wife Lori. Jay is survived by his wife of thirteen years Lori at home, sons Tyler Youngman and Drew Youngman at home, mother Leta (Herb) Dahlen of Rochester, Washington, sisters Sharon (Chris) Morrow of West Seattle, Jo Hayes of Sea-Tac, Lorie (Dave) Watson of Olympia, and Kathy Youngman of Des Moines, brothers Jim (Pam) Youngman of Auburn, and Tom (Terrie) Youngman of Auburn, and his aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. There will be a Celebration of Life Service for Jay on Saturday, July 28th at 3:00 pm at Brown's Funeral Home in Camas. Memorials in Jay's honor may be made to the Camas Education Foundation: 1919 NE Ione Street, Camas, WA 98607. Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
